Job Description

A leading construction company in the Kingdom of Bahrain is seeking a locally available, qualified, and experienced Quantity Survey Engineer to join its team. Job Description: • Prepare accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and cost plans based on architectural and structural drawings. • Carry out quantity take-offs and measurements for civil works, with a basic understanding of MEP quantities. • Analyze material prices, labor rates, and subcontractor quotations to support accurate project costing. • Assist with procurement activities, vendor negotiations, and commercial evaluations. • Support the administration of main contracts and subcontracts, with a good understanding of GCC contract conditions. • Conduct site measurements and prepare valuations for completed works and interim payment applications. • Evaluate and price variations, change orders, and site instructions. • Monitor project costs, expenditures, and cost reconciliation, including the preparation of cash flow forecasts. • Prepare monthly commercial reports, final accounts, and claim assessments for management review. • Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications to determine accurate quantities. • Utilize quantity take-off and measurement software, along with MS Excel, for cost analysis and project tracking. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar Quantity Surveying / QS Engineer role. • Good knowledge of civil construction, with a basic understanding of MEP quantities. • Good understanding of GCC construction contracts and commercial practices. • Good command of English and Hindi, both spoken and written. • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with quantity surveying / quantity take-off software. • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and commercial skills. • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project, procurement, and site teams.
