Construction Surveyor
Job Description
ERA Projects is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Surveyor to join its construction team in Bahrain. The job summary is to carry out accurate site surveys, set out construction works, establish levels and coordinates, and ensure that construction activities are executed according to approved drawings and specifications. The key responsibilities include conducting accurate land, topographic, and construction surveys at project sites; carrying out setting-out, leveling, alignment, and positioning of construction works; establishing and maintaining survey control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and reference points; operating Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and other surveying instruments; verifying measurements, elevations, coordinates, dimensions, and construction levels against approved drawings; and conducting surveys for excavation, foundations, columns, slabs, roads, drainage, utilities, and other construction works. The role includes interpreting architectural, structural, civil, and engineering drawings for site setting-out requirements, monitoring construction activities to ensure correct levels, dimensions, alignment, and tolerances, identifying discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and reporting them to the concerned engineer, preparing survey reports, field notes, calculations, as-built data, and other survey documentation, assisting with the preparation and verification of as-built drawings and final survey records, coordinating closely with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, supervisors, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring that surveying equipment is properly maintained and accurate, and following company quality, safety, and site procedures. Applicants must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field and have 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Construction or Land Surveyor, along with strong practical experience in construction site surveying and setting-out, hands-on experience with Total Station, Auto Level, GPS, and surveying equipment, good knowledge of levels, coordinates, benchmarks, alignment, and site measurements, and the ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and construction drawings. Knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing is preferred, while experience in villa, residential, commercial, high-rise, or civil construction projects is an advantage. Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills are required. Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred, candidates must currently be available in Bahrain, and immediate joiners are strongly preferred. Candidates with hands-on experience in building construction, villas, high-rise buildings, civil works, foundations, roads, drainage, and utility works will be highly considered.

- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing preferred
- Experience in villa, residential, commercial, high-rise, or civil construction projects is an advantage
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Bahrain construction experience highly preferred
