Service and Sales Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Service and Sales Engineer in Manama. The role is responsible for maintaining continuous water production at reverse osmosis plants operating under operation and maintenance contracts, troubleshooting the plants, monitoring and maintaining monthly service contracts, coordinating planned preventive maintenance and weekly shutdowns, arranging material requisitions for chemicals, spare parts and other items, and following up with the Purchasing Department. The responsibilities also include providing additional care to reverse osmosis plants during breakdowns and emergency shutdowns, properly implementing safety procedures and regulations, preparing and distributing invoices on time, following up on receivables, maintaining the daily TSD logbook and submitting a monthly report, conducting sales promotion for 60-gallon-per-day systems, applying project cost control, assisting the Sales and Marketing team with boiler water and cooling tower projects, marketing the business and generating additional opportunities, and persuading clients that the products or services best meet their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery. The role further involves supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events, delivering technical presentations and demonstrating how products meet client needs, providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, liaising with other sales team members and technical experts, solving client problems, assisting with the design of customised products, and providing training and preparing support materials for other members of the sales team.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor Of Science In Mechanical, Chemical Or Electrical Engineering
- Experience
- 5 – 7 Years
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in installing and commissioning water treatment plants, particularly reverse osmosis plants and specialty chemical systems.
- Ability to prepare technical presentations, provide pre-sales technical assistance, support sales and marketing activities, and develop client opportunities.
- Ability to coordinate maintenance, material requisitions, purchasing follow-up, invoicing, reporting, safety procedures and project cost control.
- English language proficiency.
