Construction Land Surveyor
Job Description
The job description is for an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Land Surveyor to join our team in Bahrain. Key responsibilities include conducting accurate land, topographic, and construction surveys at project sites; performing setting out, levelling, alignment, and positioning of construction works; establishing and maintaining survey control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and reference points; operating Total Stations, Auto Levels, GPS devices, and other surveying instruments; checking and verifying measurements, elevations, coordinates, and site dimensions against approved drawings; preparing survey reports, field notes, calculations, as-built data, and related documentation; interpreting architectural, structural, civil, and engineering drawings to determine site setting-out requirements; coordinating closely with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and construction teams; monitoring construction activities to ensure that works are executed according to approved drawings, levels, dimensions, and tolerances; carrying out surveys for excavations, foundations, columns, slabs, roads, drainage systems, utilities, and other construction works; identifying discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and reporting them to the relevant engineer; maintaining accurate records of survey data; ensuring that surveying equipment remains accurate and is properly maintained; supporting the preparation and verification of as-built drawings and final survey documentation; and following company quality, safety, and site procedures at all times. Applicants must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field and have proven experience as a Land Surveyor on construction projects. Strong practical knowledge of Total Stations, Auto Levels, GPS devices, and other surveying instruments is required, along with the ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings and knowledge of setting out, levelling, coordinates, benchmarks, and site measurements. Experience in building, villa, commercial, high-rise, infrastructure, or civil construction projects is an advantage. Good knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing is preferred. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as good communication and coordination skills, are required. Applicants must currently be available in Bahrain, candidates who can join immediately are preferred, and previous construction experience in Bahrain or elsewhere in the GCC is highly preferred.
