Diesel Generator Technician
Job Description
We are hiring a Diesel Generator Technician to work in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and commissioning diesel generator systems while ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include performing routine preventive maintenance on diesel generators and associated equipment; diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in generator systems; installing, testing, and commissioning new generator sets and accessories; conducting performance testing to ensure that generators operate efficiently and meet required output standards; carrying out major generator overhauls and repair work when required; maintaining accurate service reports, maintenance records, and customer documentation; using specialized diagnostic tools and following manufacturer procedures and standards; ensuring that all electrical testing and maintenance activities are performed safely; providing technical support and excellent customer service during site visits; and staying updated on the latest generator technologies, industry developments, and best practices. Requirements
- Education
- Diploma, ITI, Or Technical Certification In Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Or A Related Field
- Driving Licence
- Required
- Diploma, ITI, or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, automotive, or a related field.
- Proven experience in diesel generator maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generator systems, and electrical controls.
- Ability to diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
- Experience in generator installation, commissioning, and load testing.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage field service activities effectively.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to HSE procedures.
- Willingness to participate in on-call emergency service duties as required.
