Project Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team and manage commercial activities throughout the project, including cost control, quantity take-offs, bills of quantities preparation, valuations, variations, subcontractor payments, and commercial management. The responsibilities include preparing quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and cost estimates from architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings; monitoring project costs, budgets, expenditures, and cash flow; reviewing and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations; preparing and verifying interim payment applications and valuations; managing variations, change orders, and site instructions; reviewing subcontract agreements, contracts, and commercial terms; preparing cost reports, commercial reports, and final accounts; coordinating with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers; conducting measurements and verifying completed works on site; assisting with claims, negotiations, and commercial documentation; and maintaining accurate records of project costs and supporting documents. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveying Engineer in construction projects. Strong knowledge of bills of quantities preparation, quantity take-offs, cost control, and construction contracts is required, together with the ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, good knowledge of Excel and quantity surveying software or tools, and strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. GCC or Bahrain construction experience is preferred. Applicants must be currently available in Bahrain, and those able to join immediately are preferred.

- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost control, and construction contracts.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Good knowledge of Excel and quantity surveying software or tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- GCC or Bahrain construction experience is preferred.
