Senior Finance Officer
Job Description
ERA Projects is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to oversee daily financial and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. The role includes preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports; monitoring cash flow, company expenses, project costs, and budget performance; preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections; performing bank and account reconciliations and reviewing journal entries; monitoring supplier payments, customer collections, outstanding invoices, and subcontractor accounts; maintaining accurate financial records and proper documentation of all transactions; coordinating with external auditors, banks, suppliers, clients, and internal departments; supporting month-end and year-end closing activities and audit preparations; analysing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and recommending improvements to financial controls; and assisting management with financial analysis, cost control, and decision-making.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
- Experience
- 5 Years
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Knowledge of Bahrain VAT regulations and financial compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in construction, contracting, or project-based companies is highly preferred.
