Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team. The role involves cost control, quantity take-offs, and preparing bills of quantities and cost estimates based on architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, as well as monitoring project costs, budgets, expenditures, and cash flow. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations; preparing and verifying interim payment applications and valuations; managing variations, change orders, and site instructions; reviewing subcontract agreements, contracts, and commercial terms; preparing cost reports, commercial reports, and final accounts; coordinating with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers; conducting measurements and verifying completed works on site; assisting with claims, negotiations, and commercial documentation; and maintaining accurate records of project costs and supporting documents. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or QS Engineer in construction projects, possess strong knowledge of bills of quantities preparation, quantity take-offs, cost control, and construction contracts, and be able to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Good knowledge of Excel and quantity surveying software or tools, along with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, is required. GCC or Bahrain construction experience is preferred. Candidates must be currently available in Bahrain, and immediate joiners are preferred.
