Construction Planning Engineer
Job Description
Join our team in Bahrain as an experienced Construction Planning Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating construction schedules and ensuring that projects progress in accordance with approved plans and timelines. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules, baseline programmes, project work plans, work breakdown structures, critical path method schedules, master programmes, and detailed activity schedules; monitoring project progress against approved schedules and identifying delays, variances, and critical activities; coordinating with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, procurement teams, and other departments to maintain project timelines; tracking manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor progress against planned requirements; preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and schedule updates; analysing delays and assisting with the preparation of recovery programmes and mitigation plans; monitoring procurement and material lead times to ensure the timely availability of materials for construction activities; assisting with extensions of time, delay analysis, claims, and project documentation when required; tracking project milestones, productivity, and overall progress; attending site and coordination meetings and providing planning-related updates; and maintaining accurate project schedules and planning records.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Or A Related Field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and project controls.
- Experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Good knowledge of CPM, WBS, resource planning, progress tracking, and delay analysis.
- Experience with building, villa, commercial, or high-rise construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and project reporting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience with construction projects in Bahrain is preferred.
