Job Description: ERA Projects is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying Engineer with a strong background in construction and contracting projects. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, cost estimates and cost plans; reviewing architectural, structural, civil and MEP drawings and specifications; conducting site measurements and verifying quantities of completed works; preparing and evaluating interim payment applications, valuations and progress claims; monitoring project costs, budgets, material quantities, wastage and expenditures; reviewing and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations; preparing comparative statements and assisting with commercial evaluations; evaluating and pricing variations, change orders, additional works and site instructions; assisting with tender preparation, procurement and contract administration; monitoring project costs against approved budgets and identifying potential cost overruns; preparing monthly cost and commercial reports; assisting with the preparation of final accounts and construction claims; maintaining accurate records of measurements, costs, contracts, variations, claims and payments; and coordinating with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants. Requirements: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field and have 3 to 7 years of relevant quantity surveying experience within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of bills of quantities preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations and final accounts is required, along with the ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil and MEP drawings, a good understanding of construction materials, methods, labour rates and subcontractor pricing, and knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD is required, while experience with quantity surveying or estimation software is an advantage. Candidates must have strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, documentation and communication skills, must have Bahrain construction experience, and must currently be available in Bahrain. Immediate joiners are strongly preferred. Experience in villa projects, residential buildings, commercial projects, high-rise buildings or general construction will be highly preferred, and candidates with experience in villa construction, high-rise buildings, residential or commercial projects, fit-out or general contracting will be highly considered.

- 3–7 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil and MEP drawings.
- Good understanding of construction materials, methods, labour rates and subcontractor pricing.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; experience with QS or estimation software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, documentation and communication skills.
- Bahrain construction experience is required.
