Warehouse in-Charge

A prominent and well-established company in Bahrain, recognized as a leader within the retail and distribution sector, is seeking an experienced Warehouse In-Charge to join its dynamic and growth-oriented team. About the Role: This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bahrain. The Warehouse In-Charge will be responsible for the comprehensive management of daily warehouse activities, including inventory control, materials handling, coordination of goods dispatch and receipt, liaison with vendors, and ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. The role requires vigilant supervision to maintain smooth operations and uphold the company's standards of quality and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: - Accurately maintain records of stock movements covering all inbound and outbound inventory. - Conduct routine physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies against system records to ensure stock accuracy. - Organize stock properly through effective stacking techniques to maximize warehouse space utilization. Dispatch & Receiving: - Manage and monitor the timely dispatch of goods to customers and installation teams to meet delivery schedules. - Coordinate inbound logistics for shipments arriving from various suppliers, ensuring smooth receipt procedures. - Perform thorough quality inspections on all incoming stock to verify conformance with established standards and specifications. Documentation & Systems: - Ensure all necessary documentation, such as delivery challans, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), invoices, and stock registers, is maintained systematically and kept up to date. - Accurately update the inventory management system with all transactions, including recording serial numbers for items sold to customers to facilitate traceability. - Ensure inventory items are properly tagged and identifiable within the warehouse system to prevent misplacement. Team & Process Management: - Supervise and manage warehouse personnel, including loaders, drivers, and helpers, to maintain a productive and cooperative work environment. - Implement and sustain warehouse management best practices, such as the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) system, to optimize stock rotation and reduce wastage. - Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and orderly warehouse facility. Installation & Service Support: - Collaborate closely with service and installation coordinators to assemble and prepare kits required by field teams, ensuring readiness for effective service delivery. - Maintain accurate tracking of material consumption and returns from field teams to enhance inventory accountability and proactively address replenishment needs. Qualifications and Requirements: - A minimum of three years' experience in warehouse or logistics management is required, with preference given to candidates who have worked within the electronics, appliances, or air-conditioning sectors. - A graduate degree in any discipline is required; degrees in Commerce (B.Com) or Business Administration (BBA) are preferred. - Additional certifications related to logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain management are advantageous and will be considered a plus. - Proven experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations and data handling is required. - Competence in basic Excel functions and documentation processes essential for reporting and inventory analysis is required. - Excellent organizational skills coupled with strong communication abilities are needed to facilitate effective coordination with teams and vendors. - Professional fluency in English, including proficiency in both written and verbal communication, is mandatory. - Familiarity with transportation vendors and experience managing dispatch activities are important for this role. - The ability to efficiently manage inventory within a fast-paced environment while minimizing losses is crucial. - Experience with KPI-based performance tracking is required, including inventory accuracy percentage, dispatch turnaround time (TAT), damage or missing report percentages, field team satisfaction scores, and cost per dispatch handled.
