MEP Construction Supervisor

ERA Projects is seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Construction Supervisor who possesses a robust background in building construction alongside practical, hands-on experience in MEP site supervision. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising daily MEP activities on-site, coordinating multiple teams and subcontractors, and ensuring that all construction work is carried out in strict accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. These responsibilities reflect the typical requirements for MEP construction roles currently available within Bahrain. Key Responsibilities - Oversee and manage daily MEP construction and installation operations effectively. - Supervise the execution of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other related MEP systems. - Interpret and analyze MEP drawings, shop drawings, layout plans, and technical documentation accurately. - Coordinate closely with teams from civil, structural, architectural, and finishing disciplines to ensure smooth integration of MEP works. - Provide direct supervision and leadership to technicians, workers, foremen, and subcontracted personnel. - Monitor the allocation and utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, productivity levels, and daily progress on-site. - Perform thorough site inspections to verify quality and workmanship are maintained to the required standards. - Identify potential clashes, installation challenges, and site coordination issues related to MEP systems and proactively resolve them. - Ensure all works are compliant with approved design drawings, project specifications, scheduled deadlines, and adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations. - Oversee and facilitate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification work, and successful handover procedures. - Prepare and submit detailed daily and weekly progress reports, including manpower tracking and work status updates. - Collaborate and communicate effectively with MEP Engineers, Project Managers, consultants, main contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Requirements - A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in MEP construction and on-site supervision activities. - A substantial and proven background in building construction is a mandatory prerequisite. - Previous work experience within the Bahrain construction sector is highly preferred and often required. - Practical, hands-on expertise with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems is essential. - Ability to proficiently read, interpret, and understand MEP and shop drawings is necessary. - Experience leading and supervising subcontractor teams and on-site personnel is required. - Solid understanding of established construction procedures, quality control protocols, and HSE standards. - Excellent leadership qualities combined with strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. - A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a closely related discipline is desirable. - Previous experience working on villa, residential, commercial, or high-rise development projects is considered advantageous. - Candidate must currently be residing in Bahrain. - Immediate availability for joining is strongly preferred to meet urgent project needs. - Preference will be given to candidates who possess a cancelled or transferable visa status. Important Note This vacancy is specifically geared toward construction-focused MEP supervisors. Priority will be given to candidates who have demonstrable hands-on building construction experience. Applicants whose experience is predominantly in maintenance or facilities management without substantial construction exposure may not be considered a suitable fit for this position.
