MEP Construction Engineer

Job description: We are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have a strong hands-on construction background and experience managing and coordinating MEP works for building projects, including high-rise buildings, large villas, residential projects, and commercial projects. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and supervising MEP construction activities on site; overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection installations; reviewing MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents; coordinating MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams; supervising MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site workers; monitoring manpower, materials, work progress, productivity, and installation quality; conducting site inspections and resolving technical and coordination issues; reviewing material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions; coordinating testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover; ensuring that all MEP works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements; preparing daily and weekly progress reports; and attending coordination meetings. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or a related field and have 3 to 7 years of relevant MEP construction experience, with strong hands-on experience in building construction projects. Experience in high-rise buildings, large villas, residential projects, or commercial projects is highly preferred. Candidates should have strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems; the ability to read and interpret MEP and shop drawings and technical specifications; experience supervising subcontractors and site teams; and knowledge of testing, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE procedures. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office is an advantage. Bahrain or GCC construction experience is highly preferred. Applicants must be currently available in Bahrain, and immediate joining is highly preferred.
