MEP Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated MEP Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have a strong construction background and hands-on experience in managing both Electrical and Plumbing systems across residential, commercial, villa, or high-rise projects. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Works: - Supervise electrical installation works at site, including power distribution, lighting, distribution boards (DBs), cable trays, earthing, and ELV systems. - Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications. - Coordinate electrical works with civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, and plumbing teams. - Supervise electricians, technicians, and subcontractors. - Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality of installation. - Identify and resolve technical and site coordination issues. - Monitor manpower, materials, and work progress. - Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover. - Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. - Prepare daily and weekly electrical progress reports. - Ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable Bahrain regulations (IEC, BS, NFPA, etc.). Plumbing Works: - Supervise plumbing and drainage installation works at site, including soil, waste, vent, rainwater, water supply, condensate drainage, and firefighting piping systems. - Review plumbing drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications. - Coordinate plumbing works with civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, and electrical teams. - Supervise plumbers, technicians, and subcontractors. - Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality of installation. - Identify and resolve technical and site coordination issues. - Monitor manpower, materials, and work progress. - Coordinate pressure testing, leakage testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover. - Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. - Prepare daily and weekly plumbing progress reports. - Ensure all plumbing works comply with approved drawings, specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable Bahrain regulations. General Responsibilities: - Attend technical and coordination meetings and provide engineering solutions to site issues. - Review material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions. - Ensure all MEP works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable Bahrain regulations. - Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams. - Manage subcontractors, technicians, and site workers effectively.
Requirements
- Strong construction background.
- Hands-on experience managing electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ability to supervise electrical and plumbing installation works on residential, commercial, villa, and high-rise projects.
- Ability to review drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical submissions.
- Experience coordinating with civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, finishing, and other MEP teams.
- Experience supervising electricians, plumbers, technicians, subcontractors, and site workers.
- Ability to conduct site inspections and resolve technical and coordination issues.
- Experience monitoring manpower, materials, and work progress.
- Experience coordinating testing, commissioning, pressure testing, leakage testing, snagging, rectification, and final handover.
- Ability to prepare daily and weekly electrical and plumbing progress reports.
- Knowledge of HSE requirements and applicable Bahrain regulations, including IEC, BS, and NFPA standards.
