MEP Construction Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MEP Construction Engineer with a strong background in building construction to manage and coordinate MEP works on construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems, preferably on high-rise buildings, large villas, residential projects, or commercial projects. The role includes planning, coordinating, and supervising MEP construction activities from installation through testing and commissioning; managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works; reviewing MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents; coordinating MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams; supervising MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site workers; conducting regular site inspections and resolving technical and coordination issues; reviewing material submittals, method statements, requests for information, and technical submissions; monitoring manpower, materials, work progress, quality, and project schedules; coordinating testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover; coordinating with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management; ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, health, safety, and environmental requirements, as well as applicable Bahrain regulations; and preparing daily and weekly MEP progress reports. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field, with 3 to 7 years of relevant MEP construction experience and strong hands-on experience in building construction projects. Experience with high-rise buildings, large villas, residential projects, or commercial projects is highly preferred, as is strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems, the ability to read and interpret MEP and shop drawings and technical specifications, and experience managing MEP subcontractors and site teams. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or BIM, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office is an advantage. Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required. Bahrain or GCC construction experience is highly preferred, applicants must currently be available in Bahrain, and immediate joining is preferred. These requirements are also common in current Bahrain MEP construction postings.
