Accountant/Cashier
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and trustworthy Accountant/Cashier to manage the financial operations of a jewellery shop. The role includes maintaining accurate cash register records and daily cash transactions, recording all sales, purchases and expenses in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, preparing and presenting daily cash, sales and purchase reports to the shop owner, and tracking and reconciling cash in hand against actual sales. The successful candidate will enter all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses and payments, into accounting software such as Jwelly or WinGold, maintain and update inventory and purchase records, and ensure that all bills, invoices and documents are properly filed and organised. Responsibilities also include generating and submitting monthly financial reports, including profit and loss and stock movement reports, calculating and filing monthly VAT in compliance with local tax laws, immediately reporting any irregularities or non-compliance to the owner, and maintaining the confidentiality of all financial and customer information. Administrative duties include liaising with suppliers and vendors regarding payment follow-ups and statement reconciliation, assisting with audits, and maintaining accurate financial records as required. Applicants should have proven experience as an accountant or cashier, preferably in a retail or jewellery setting, a strong command of Microsoft Excel and accounting software, an understanding of VAT filing, inventory management and retail financial workflows, a high level of accuracy, integrity and accountability, good communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to prepare financial reports under deadlines. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of jewellery inventory management and familiarity with local tax and financial regulations are additional advantages. This is a full-time position with a seven-day work schedule. Working hours are from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a break from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, and then work from 4:00 AM to 9:30 PM. The half day off consists of only one morning shift on a working day, and Friday working hours are from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM.

- Bachelor’s Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field Preferred
- Proven experience as an accountant or cashier, preferably in a retail or jewellery setting.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Understanding of VAT filing, inventory management and retail financial workflows.
- High accuracy, integrity and accountability.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to prepare financial reports under deadlines.
