Large-Format Machine Operator
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator / Production Technician to join our print and signage shop. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience running large-format printers, vinyl plotters, laminators, and CNC routers to produce high-quality signage, banners, and cut graphics. Key Equipment You Will Operate: - Large Format Printers: Wit-Color Grand Format Solvent Printer & Mutoh ValueJet Large Format Printer. - Vinyl Cutting Plotter: Mimaki CG-130SRII Cutting Plotter. - Finishing: Royal Sovereign Roll Laminator. - CNC Router: Flatbed CNC Woodworking/Acrylic Router. Responsibilities: - Set up, calibrate, and operate large-format inkjet printers, vinyl plotters, and CNC routers. - RIP files, check artwork, and adjust print/cut settings using production software (e.g., Onyx, FlexiSign, ArtCAM, Vectric). - Perform finishing work: laminating, vinyl weeding, mounting, trimming, and CNC panel cutting. - Perform routine daily and weekly maintenance (printhead cleaning, blade/bit changes, dust collection). - Monitor print and cut quality to ensure color accuracy, crisp cutting, and minimal material waste. Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in a print shop, sign shop, or digital production workshop. - Direct experience operating large-format solvent printers, vinyl plotters, and CNC routers. - Knowledge of materials (vinyl, banner flex, acrylic, MDF, foam board, aluminum composite). - Basic computer skills and familiarity with print/RIP software and design software (CorelDRAW, Illustrator, or AutoCAD is a plus). - Strong attention to detail and ability to lift heavy rolls and panels.
Requirements

- 2 Years
- At least 2 years of experience in a print shop, sign shop, or digital production workshop.
- Direct hands-on experience operating large-format solvent printers, vinyl plotters, and CNC routers.
- Knowledge of vinyl, banner flex, acrylic, MDF, foam board, and aluminium composite materials.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with print and RIP software, including Onyx and FlexiSign.
- Familiarity with production or design software such as ArtCAM and Vectric.
- Knowledge of CorelDRAW, Illustrator, or AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy rolls and panels.
