Diesel Generator Engineer
Job Description
We are hiring a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Generator Engineer in Bahrain to manage generator installation projects, commissioning activities, and technical coordination while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and project requirements. The responsibilities include planning, executing, and monitoring generator projects from initiation through final handover; coordinating installation, alignment, fuel systems, exhaust systems, mechanical and electrical works, and control integration; supervising subcontractors, technicians, and vendors on site; ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements; preparing and submitting method statements, inspection requests, progress reports, and as-built documentation; coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests; supporting commissioning, load testing, and performance verification activities; maintaining project records, daily site reports, and project documentation; assisting with invoicing, variation orders, and project completion documentation; and providing technical support to the sales and service teams when required.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree Or Diploma In Electrical, Mechanical, Or A Related Engineering Discipline
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in generator installation, commissioning, and project execution.
- Strong understanding of generator systems, ATS panels, synchronizing panels, and power distribution systems.
- Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal departments.
- Familiarity with HSE requirements, risk assessments, lifting plans, and permit-to-work systems.
- Strong site management, project coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project planning software.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
