Cleaner
Job Description
The cleaner must be punctual, ready to start shifts on time, and flexible regarding working hours and rostered days off to meet the business’s requirements. The role involves assisting colleagues and working collaboratively as part of a team to maintain a harmonious work environment and ensure that all bakery areas comply with food safety and sanitation standards. After kitchen service, the cleaner must clean, sweep, and hose the entire kitchen floor area, collect all scraps, and properly dispose of rubbish, boxes, and waste to keep the premises clean and tidy. The cleaner must regularly follow the cleaning checklist in accordance with standard procedures, keep the toilet clean and tidy, and ensure that cleaning supplies are available.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a food establishment.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
