Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Procurement Administrator to support procurement and purchasing activities for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in construction procurement, supplier coordination, purchase orders, quotations, and material delivery follow-ups. Responsibilities include managing daily procurement and purchasing activities; preparing and processing purchase requests, requests for quotations, purchase orders, local purchase orders, goods received notes, delivery notes, and invoices; requesting supplier quotations and preparing quotation comparison sheets; sourcing construction materials, tools, equipment, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials, and consumables; coordinating with suppliers regarding prices, availability, payment terms, and delivery schedules; following up on pending orders to ensure timely delivery to project sites; maintaining updated supplier and vendor records and procurement registers; coordinating with project managers, engineers, site teams, storekeepers, accounts personnel, and suppliers; monitoring material requirements, open orders, delivery schedules, and stock availability; verifying supplier invoices and delivery documents against purchase orders; maintaining organized procurement files and preparing procurement status reports; and assisting in resolving issues involving delayed, incorrect, damaged, or incomplete deliveries. Candidates should have two to three or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing administration, or a similar role. Previous construction industry experience is preferred, along with good knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and purchasing procedures; experience handling purchase orders, local purchase orders, requests for quotations, quotations, goods received notes, invoices, and delivery documents; and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of enterprise resource planning or procurement software is an advantage. Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple suppliers, orders, and delivery schedules, are required. Bahrain or GCC construction experience is highly preferred. Candidates must be locally available in Bahrain, and immediate joiners are highly preferred.
