Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor Engineer to join our construction team in Manama, Bahrain. Responsibilities include preparing accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and project budgets; reviewing architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications; conducting site measurements and verifying completed quantities; monitoring project costs, budgets, material quantities, and wastage; preparing interim valuations, payment applications, and progress claims; evaluating variations, change orders, additional works, and site instructions; reviewing subcontractor measurements, quotations, and payment applications; preparing comparison statements for subcontractor and supplier quotations; assisting with tendering, procurement, and commercial evaluations; monitoring project expenditure against approved budgets and identifying potential cost overruns; preparing monthly cost reports and commercial documentation; assisting with final accounts, claims, cost reconciliation, and contract administration; maintaining accurate records of quantities, measurements, costs, variations, contracts, and payments; and coordinating with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, Consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Experience in villa, residential, commercial, high-rise, civil, fit-out, or general building construction projects is an advantage. Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree Or Diploma In Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Or A Related Field.
- Experience
- 3 – 5 Years
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of relevant construction-industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, estimation, costing, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good knowledge of construction materials, labour costs, subcontractor pricing, and market rates.
- Experience with subcontractor payments, tendering, and commercial documentation.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Experience with QS or estimation software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Bahrain construction experience is preferred.
- Immediate joining is preferred.
