Barista
Job Description
The barista is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and serving customers. Duties include preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages; taking customer orders; processing payments accurately; handling cash transactions; answering customer questions; and recommending menu items. The barista maintains the cleanliness of the coffee bar, dining area, and equipment; restocks supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and pastries; follows food safety and sanitation guidelines; and operates espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment. The barista must work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and assist with opening and closing duties.
