Job Description
The estimator will read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings, and technical drawings; take measurements and quantities from them; and prepare accurate material take-offs. The role includes calculating material, labour, fabrication, and installation costs; preparing professional customer quotations with clear descriptions, quantities, unit rates, and total prices; and understanding a range of fabrication works, including aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel works, gates, doors and railings, handrails and balustrades, CNC cutting, laser cutting, structural steel, canopies and shades, metal furniture, shopfronts, and interior works. The estimator will coordinate with the workshop to understand production requirements and costs, contact suppliers to obtain material prices when required, follow up on inquiries and quotations, help convert inquiries into confirmed orders, understand the project scope and identify missing information before quoting, and coordinate with the customer, workshop, and site team from inquiry to completion.
Requirements
- Experience in Bahrain or GCC fabrication projects is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for quotations.
