Biology Teacher
Job Description
The requirements for this role include a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, a Master’s Degree in Biology, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching experience. The roles and responsibilities include identifying clear teaching and learning objectives, content, lesson structures and sequences appropriate to the subject matter and the students being taught; setting clear and challenging learning targets that build on prior attainment; using teaching methods that keep students engaged and stimulate their intellectual curiosity; recognising and developing students’ preferred learning styles; and participating in the organisation, maintenance and review of resources and equipment throughout the school within the relevant curriculum areas. The candidate must be passionate about providing the students in their care with the best possible education, demonstrate a high level of professionalism combined with energy and enthusiasm to ensure academic excellence, and show respect for all members of the school community irrespective of position, gender, age or ethnic background.
