Site Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in Bahrain. The job description covers responsibility for quantity measurement, cost control, site valuation, and commercial coordination throughout the project. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity measurement, cost control, site valuation, and commercial coordination throughout the project. Key responsibilities include preparing quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and site conditions; preparing and reviewing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and material quantities; monitoring project costs, variations, and site instructions; preparing interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations; reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations; tracking project expenditures and assisting with cost control; preparing variation orders, claims, and supporting documentation; coordinating with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers; assisting with final accounts and commercial reports; and maintaining accurate records of quantities, costs, and project documentation. Applicants must meet the requirements of holding a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field and having proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Site Quantity Surveyor in construction. Strong knowledge of bills of quantities preparation, quantity take-offs, valuations, variations, and cost control is required, along with the ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software or tools, and strong communication and negotiation skills. Applicants must be locally available in Bahrain, immediate joiners are preferred, and Bahrain or GCC construction experience is an advantage.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Or Diploma In Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Or A Related Field
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Site Quantity Surveyor in construction
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, valuation, variations, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and quantity surveying software or tools
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Bahrain or GCC construction experience is an advantage
