Fire Protection & MEP Design Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Fire Protection and MEP Design Engineer with extensive knowledge of Civil Defense regulations, fire protection system design, and authority approval procedures. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Civil Defense design drawings for architectural and MEP submissions; designing complete fire alarm systems and complete firefighting systems, including sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire pump, foam, kitchen suppression, and gas suppression systems; preparing hydraulic calculations and technical reports where required; ensuring that all drawings comply with the latest Civil Defense codes, NFPA standards, and local regulations; conducting site visits and resolving design and installation issues; and supporting projects from concept design through final Civil Defense approval. Requirements include strong knowledge of Civil Defense regulations and approval procedures, an excellent understanding of NFPA codes and fire safety engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD, and experience with residential, commercial, industrial, high-rise, warehouse, hospital, hotel, shopping mall, factory, and other large-scale projects. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, and excellent communication and coordination skills are also required. Candidates of any nationality are welcome to apply under the preferred nationalities condition, with preference given to applicants with GCC or Bahrain Civil Defense project experience.
