Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Planning Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The role requires strong experience in construction planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls, along with practical knowledge of Primavera P6. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and updating detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6; preparing baseline programmes, work breakdown structures, milestones, and look-ahead schedules; monitoring actual project progress against approved schedules; collecting progress updates from site teams and preparing weekly and monthly reports; identifying delays, critical activities, and potential schedule risks; conducting critical path and planned-versus-actual progress analyses; preparing recovery schedules and recommending corrective actions; coordinating with Project Managers, Site Engineers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers; monitoring manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor progress; preparing progress reports, S-curves, and planning updates; assisting with delay analysis and extension-of-time documentation when required; attending project meetings and providing planning and scheduling updates; and maintaining accurate project planning records and documentation. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field and have 3 to 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction. GCC construction experience is required, while Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred. Strong practical knowledge of Primavera P6 is required, and knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel is an advantage. Candidates must have a strong understanding of construction sequencing, work breakdown structures, baseline schedules, the critical path method, and critical path analysis, as well as experience in progress monitoring, recovery planning, and delay analysis. The ability to read construction drawings, bills of quantities, and project specifications is required, together with strong analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Candidates with experience in building, villa, commercial, or large-scale construction projects and hands-on site planning experience are highly encouraged to apply. - 3–5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction.
- GCC construction experience.
- Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred.

- Knowledge of MS Project and MS Excel is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, WBS, baseline schedules, CPM, and critical path.
- Experience in progress monitoring, recovery planning, and delay analysis.
- Ability to read construction drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
- Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Building, villa, commercial, or large-scale construction project experience is encouraged.
- Hands-on site planning experience is encouraged.
