MEP Site Engineer

Job description: We are seeking an experienced and technically capable MEP Site Engineer to join our construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will supervise and coordinate MEP site activities for villa and high-rise building projects, ensuring that all works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating daily MEP site activities and installation works; monitoring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection works; reviewing and interpreting MEP drawings, shop drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and coordination drawings; coordinating MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams; supervising MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site workers; monitoring manpower, materials, equipment, productivity, and work progress; conducting regular site inspections and ensuring the proper quality of MEP installations; identifying and resolving technical issues, clashes, and site coordination problems; coordinating MEP testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and handover activities; reviewing material requirements, method statements, inspection requests, and technical submissions; preparing daily and weekly site progress reports and maintaining proper project documentation; coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and project management; ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable Bahrain construction regulations; and ensuring the proper use of PPE and compliance with site HSE procedures. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field and have 3 to 7 years of relevant MEP construction or site experience, along with strong hands-on experience in building construction projects. Experience in villa and/or high-rise building projects is highly preferred. Candidates must have strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems; the ability to read and interpret MEP and shop drawings and technical specifications; experience supervising subcontractors and site installation teams; good knowledge of MEP installation, testing, commissioning, QA/QC, and HSE procedures; and strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, and MS Office is an advantage, while Bahrain or GCC construction experience is highly preferred. Candidates must currently be available in Bahrain, and immediate joiners are preferred. Candidates with strong Bahrain construction experience will be given priority, and experience with high-rise buildings and large villa projects is an advantage.
